About Candace Whitman
I am a Presbyterian pastor who continues to create art and enjoy the world of art. It is a pleasure to share my work in children's books and more recently, in greeting cards, with you here.
Faith and art have a lot in common as they engage our deepest spiritual selves. Through faith and through art we are able to be in touch with eternal values such as love, beauty, order, hope. This of course is a much longer conversation but I see the connections every day. I am fortunate to live near the ocean which, to me, is a reminder of the vast stores of the eternal love of God.

Currently I serve a number of different churches in my presbytery and continue to work in collage and watercolor when not preparing sermons or workshops. My formal background includes an undergraduate degree in History of Art (Yale); a Master in Art and Art Education (New York University), and a later, a Master of Divinity (Princeton Theological Seminary). In between there have been countless studio courses and continuing education for clergy to keep me on my toes.

Sending God's blessing on your own creativity, and on the small children in your life as you read to them and nurture their spiritual life with love and kindness.

Thanks for stopping by!
