About Candace Whitman
There is something about living near water that is so uplifting that I am now very pleased to live on Long Island where the ocean -- that reminder of the vast stores of eternal love -- is just a short drive away. It is here that I pursue my passion for art -- the making of art as well as sharing it with others as an artist and art educator. This location also affords me the chance to minister at churches in the area and fulfill my call as ordained Presbyterian clergy.

It is a privilege to be serving the spiritual needs of people through art and through the sacred texts of the Bible. It is a special joy to bring these two together occasionally in special retreats for church-going folks and otherwise.

My background includes an undergraduate degree in History of Art (Yale); a Master in Art and Art Education (New York University), and a later-in-life Master of Divinity (Princeton Theological Seminary). I have also taken countless studio courses and continuing education to keep me on my toes.
